Galveston in February
The beach has always been a peaceful refuge for me; especially during winter months. It is quiet, quaint and not full of crazy kids trying to make stupid memories. It has a winter sky with choppy waves, a cold breeze and a warm sun. I love the beach for the relaxed atmosphere of our schedules, no agenda and, let’s face it, day drinking can be pretty awesome, too.
We have never spent much time in Galveston, but the history has always fascinated me. Dawn Marie found a sweet house that is adorable and very old. In fact, it survived the 1900 hurricane and if you know anything about that, you know that is a rare miracle. Not only that, the host has a book about elephants! This was kismet!
I am enjoying a beautiful morning on the deck, listening to the ocean speak to the seagulls. Life is beautiful; embrace it.
