Nuts!
Amber, thank you for your recent gift. It’s one that I read half of the book the first night I received it and have not had time to pick it up since. lol.
Nuts!: A 101st Airborne Division Machine Gunner at Bastogne was a suggestion from another long time member who reads quite a bit on WWII.
It’s an easy read, which is sometimes not the case when a soldier pens his own book, but I prefer first hand accounts rather than an interpretation of research. That is not to say that I do not also appreciate a documentary account of such events, but I find it closer to the heart of what actually happened and what a soldier endured, all for the freedoms that we have today.
