The Origin Story of Lone Star Angel: A Moniker That Stood the Test of Time

This topic was a suggestion thrown out in a conversation last week, and I thought it might make for an interesting read, while also giving a little more insight into who I am and how the name came about.

In an industry where names often serve as a prelude to the fantasies and personas that captivate audiences, the story of how Lone Star Angel came to be is a testament to the serendipitous nature of the online industry. It’s a name that has spanned nearly two decades in the adult content creation scene—a name that, surprisingly, was never intended to carry much longevity.

It’s a name that has become synonymous with my brand, but what’s fascinating is that I had little to do with its creation.

In the early days, I thought my time online would be short-lived, and I didn’t think a name was important. Oh, how wrong I was! It was a group of friends who brainstormed and came up with the name that would eventually define me. They decided that Texas, the Lone Star State, should play a significant role in my moniker. And so, “Lone Star” was born.

But, I did have a say in the matter. I knew that I needed a more conventional name to accompany the rather unusual “Lone Star.” I mean, who would refer to someone as just “Lone Star”? It sounded more like a nickname or a persona, rather than a person.

After much deliberation and discussion, my friends finally settled on “Angel.” It wasn’t a name that made me roll my eyes, and I have to admit, it had a certain ring to it. And so, Lone Star Angel was born.

It’s hard to believe that what was initially thought to be a short stint in my working career, that started in my 20’s, transcended through my 30’s and has seen me through most of my 40’s is about to turn the page on 19 years in this industry. As I look back, I’m grateful for that group of people who helped me create a name that has become an integral part of my identity.

What a serendipitous start to such an amazing journey. This adventure has seen me through a lot of trying times, with beautiful new beginnings and a story that is still being written.
