A Bittersweet Birthday: Throwback to a Life-Altering Moment

As I sit here, reflecting on the past 19 years of my online journey, I’m transported back to a moment that changed the course of my life forever. It was my birthday, and I was surrounded by four dear friends and a soon-to-be ex on a boat in Mexico. The sun was shining, the ocean was calm, and the scenery was breathtaking. But beneath the surface, I was struggling to come to terms with the reality of my life.

The trip was a celebration, but it was also a wake-up call. As I gazed out at the endless blue waters, I realized that I wasn’t entirely present in the moment. My mind was elsewhere, consumed by the uncertainty of my future. It was a bittersweet feeling, knowing that this birthday marked the end of an era, and the beginning of a new chapter.

That photoshoot, which seems like a lifetime ago, was a turning point for me. It was a moment of clarity, a reminder that I had the power to create change in my life. And change I did. With the support of a community that I didn’t even know I had, I began to break free.

Looking back, I’m grateful for that trip, bittersweet as it was. It marked the beginning of a journey that would take me to places I never thought I’d go. And it’s because of all of you, my dear friends and supporters, that I’ve been able to navigate the ups and downs of life with a sense of purpose and belonging.
