Throwback to a Knockout Photoshoot

As I approach a monumental milestone – 19 years online – I find myself reminiscing about the incredible experiences that have shaped my career. One such unforgettable memory is the sizzling hot photoshoot in an old boxing gym in east Texas, courtesy of a kind-hearted gentleman and a connection through a fellow industry insider.

This wasn’t just any ordinary gym. Built from wood, with no air conditioning to speak of, it oozed history and nostalgia. The walls had witnessed the training sessions of boxing legends in their prime, and I felt honored to have the opportunity to set foot in such a revered space.

The owner, a gentle soul, offered to open up the gym on a Sunday just for the two of us- my friend and me. He took the time to tape our hands and fit us with the perfect gloves, ensuring we were comfortable and prepared for our “match.” With his guidance, we were free to explore our creativity in the iconic boxing ring.

The day was sweltering, with only a hint of breeze wafting through the open crank windows. The heat was palpable, and it didn’t take long for the sweat to start dripping and the ideas to start flowing. The setting was perfect – the rustic, worn-out gym, the vintage boxing equipment, and the two of us, lost in the moment, creating something truly unique.

As I look back, I’m reminded of the power of connections and the kindness of strangers. If it weren’t for that industry connection, I might have never had the chance to experience the thrill of shooting in such an incredible location. It’s a testament to the importance of building relationships and nurturing friendships, no matter the industry you find yourself in.

This photoshoot will always hold a special place in my heart, not just because of the stunning visuals we captured but also because of the memories forged in that sweaty, historic boxing gym. As I celebrate 19 years online, I’m grateful for the opportunities, the experiences, and the people who have shaped my journey.

Here’s to many more years of creating unforgettable content and cherishing the memories that come with it!
