Spoiled by Rich — and Whiskey Willow Too

Some people surprise you in the best ways. Rich is one of those people.

A package showed up at my door recently, and I genuinely had no idea what was coming. I like to keep my wishlist as a surprise — I don’t check to see what’s been purchased. Half the fun is opening the box and finding out. And this time? Rich went all out.

He grabbed a pair of yoga pants I’d been wanting — the kind that hug in all the right places. Then he picked out a bundle of panties on his own. Not from a list, not from a hint — he chose them himself. And the man has taste. Every pair was sexy, fun, and exactly what I would’ve picked for myself. There’s something about a guy who knows what he wants to see you in that just hits different.

Then there was the keychain. It says “Just a girl who loves goldens” and if you know me, you know that’s about as me as it gets. My golden is my world, and the fact that he paid attention to something that personal — something that small — meant a lot. It’s on my keys now and I see it every time I start the car.

But the part that really got me was Whiskey Willow’s gift. He sent her something for her first birthday. Her first birthday. I wasn’t expecting anyone to remember, let alone send something for my girl. And here’s the thing — Whiskey knew that package was for her before I even opened it. She was sniffing and wagging and circling the box like she could already tell. The moment I pulled out what was inside, she claimed it immediately. No hesitation. “Yes, this is mine, thank you very much.”

So thank you, Rich. You spoiled me and you spoiled my dog, and honestly, that’s the fastest way to make an impression on me. Whiskey Willow gives her approval — two paws up.
