An Abundance of Surprises!

I’m always surprised as to the effort you all go through to make the annual party. A few of you fly in from other states, several of you drive hours from other parts of Texas and a couple of you are local. No matter the distance, you guys bring gifts.

MtnMan75- you made summer sausage from antelope and deer that you hunted. That is amazing! As if that wasn’t enough, you brought Amps, Goldfish, Twizzlers and Butterfinger goodies. WOW! (The whiskey was such a nice gesture, too.)

JerLovesFeet- OMG! Goldfish and Twizzlers! Just because! Not just one, but multiple packs of both!

Cliff- Homemade rolls and biscuits!! I’ve enjoyed them all week. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.

BigTexasRed- I love your homemade chex mix, even though I know you make it for others. LOL. I didn’t realize you actually had to cook the mixture, which takes much more time than adding spice and shaking the bag.

The cake was another hit, as it always is.

Also, I feel I should thank you for making the window on the deck level. That annoyed me each time I had to look at it. lol. I’m glad you and MtnMan came to the party, or else it would still be crooked.

Bubba- Thanks for all the liquor. We will definitely enjoy those, along with all of our friends who, incidentally, drink most days. What does that say about us? I’m starting to get a complex. lol.

Lefty- Your surprise didn’t find me until Monday. Or, should I say, I didn’t find your bag of elephants until I was transforming the bunkhouse back into my cam studio. I pulled one fluffy elephant out, just to find two more! They’re cute, too. One is frumpy with bean bag stuff in his legs, so he sits funny. Another one has a lot of weight in his ass, and then one is just fluffy as can be! They’re adorably cute! He didn’t even leave a note! However, a baggie of pink Starbursts should have told me they were from him. He saved pink ones just for me! WHAT? lol.

You guys are amazing and incredibly thoughtful with very generous hearts. Thank you!
