Red Sky in the Morning Shepherds Warning…

…Red Sky at Night Shepherds Delight.   The other night while I was on cam WLTNBN mentioned this…. it was news to me, so I had to look it up… I found answers! If the sky is red in the morning, it means there will be bad weather during the day. However, if it’s red at night, the weather will be nice through the night… that makes no sense to me. So, I “researched” further. In other words, I clicked on another link to give me more answers. LOL. Apparently, this has been a saying as long as man as been speaking. (I did a copy/paste from Yahoo Answers) Two…

    Four and a Half Inches

Boy, we finally got a good soaking of rain! The first night of storms was severe. We were in the very center of each storm wave, so we managed to get more than most. Along with those first 4″ we had thunder, lightning and wind. It was a welcome relief, even with the wind and thunder. It rained through the next morning, but then tapered off until the next night. I thought it was going to be a replay of the night before, but it was scattered storms, leaving us with another 1/2 of an inch. My plants and our trees are loving this weather! What’s strange is it drastically…

    Pictures from My World

You guys always hear me talking about doing yard work, the field, our slopes and my gardens, but I’ve never shared pictures with you. So, I decided it’s time I change that! It’s a work in progress, and the garden isn’t near what I hope it to be this summer, but it’s still worth sharing…

    Let’s Get Our Drink On!!

Next Wednesday, the 21st, is Lefty’s birthday and I will be online to celebrate! Let’s come together and wish him nothing but the very best on his day! This will be a drinking night, but if you’re not a drinker, no worries! You do not have to be drunk to enjoy this celebration! Plus, someone has to be the responsible one, or else we’d be left without a designated driver! I’ll be drinking and will be on for several hours… Let’s make it a tradition! White Russians or Cranberry Vodka? Hmmm.. decisions. I think this goes without saying, but if you’re a member of my site, you will have access…

    My Wednesday: I am Fun!

I was on cam until 2a, then had emails to send out, getting to bed a couple hours later. I let myself sleep in, but as soon as I realized I slept later than I wanted, I was out of bed, and on the go! I had a long to-do-list. As you know, Devil is out of town and I’ve been left to my own vices. Oh, and the house has been clean all week. I do feel the need to say that… he left on Monday. LOL. Okay, so anyway. I made coffee, fed the Monsters and the Brats, and then went to the Studio. I finished organizing the…

    A Confession

I just got off of the phone with a really good friend of ours. He’s so easy to be around; good energy and a warm spirit. He’s very open-minded, which is refreshing. He called becasue might be coming back to our area soon and after we finished talking about his plans, he said, “I have a confession to make…”. I thought, hmmm, okay? He said he joined a dating site. I thought, hmm, that’s good. Sounds like fun! As he was looking around, he saw a name pop up on the side of his screen and her name is “Lone Star Angel” …. I said, “OH GOD” … so he…

    Short Shorts and Classy Heels!

I have one pair of shorts, which is stupid considering I live in Texas. I usually wear dresses or skirts, so it does make some sense, but when sometimes shorts are a better fit, depending on what’s going on. It also should be noted that the pair of shorts has a huge rip in the front, near the button zipper. I’ve sewn the rip, patched it, patched it AND sewn it…. it continues to tear open. I’ve been doing this for two years now, which means it’s time to give it up. LOL. A few weeks ago I found a pair of shorts on Amazon and thought they’d be a…

    An Elephant Shows Empathy

Awhile back Hedo sent me an article regarding a research study on Elephants and their behavior during stressful times. The study didn’t place the animals in stressful situations, but waited for something to happen naturally, such as, a sudden sound. Other Elephants would either verbally calm the distressed friend, or rub its trunk on him, just to let him know he’s not alone. Isn’t that just precious? I want one. If you’re interested, here’s the full article below, or click this link: Elephants have long had a reputation for good memories. Now, according to a new study from Emory University and Think Elephants International, the giant animals are also pretty good when…

    A Much Quieter A/C Unit

We’ve always had plans to put in a better, much quieter A/C unit, but wasn’t able to last year. This year, however, it is top of the list on changes to the Studio. Thanks to MtnMan’s birthday gift card ($150) and a couple others, who asked to remain anonymous, I’m halfway to getting the new unit. I know I say this all the time, but you guys just amaze me! It’s never expected, nor is it required, and you all continue to shower me with support and thoughtful gifts, and such. It means a lot to me, I hope you know. Thank you, MtnMan, for giving me a good push…

“That Was Not Nice, Angel” …

This gave me a chuckle and I had to share. Do you recall the post regarding the gentleman who told me that he realizes he’s enjoyed me for years, but never given a penny? The one who insists he needs my REAL name in order to start supporting me? Yeah, that one. The last correspondence with him was this: Him: Well Angel, I tried to pop in twice, DAMN you looked delicious tonight, don“t know, why you have not replied, maybe you got offended?, hope not, maybe you think, that I am lying, but I am NOT, take care Lovely you and sleep tight, I wanna dram of you now,…
