My Cam Schedule for Next 2 Weeks
With the holiday’s looming, my schedule is going to be short and sweet for the next couple of weeks. I think the easiest way to keep it all straight is to share with you the days that I will be online. This Week: Today (Thursday) and Friday will be normal. Saturday I will be offline. Week of the 20th: Monday – Wednesday I will be online. The rest of the week I will be offline. Week of the 27th: Monday – Wednesday I will be online. The rest of the week I will be offline. I am sorry for the short weeks, but tis’ the season- Happy fucking holidays! lol

Snow, Snow and More Snow
We have had a very dry start to winter, with very little snow accumulation. In Early November we had a day of blizzard conditions, when there was no snow forcasted, and it gave me hope that winter was well on her way. But, that moved out almost as quickly as it blew in, and we’ve had no rain and no snow since. However, it has been freezing with below zero temps, warming up to the mid-thirties by 1p, just long enough to make it feel sweltering and then it drops back to below freezing. I do love that because I’ve never been a fan of the sun. It’s a love…

Your Favorite Holiday Movie
There are so many to list, so I won’t, but I’d love to know what your favorite holiday move is. For me, it will always be Christmas Vacation.

Good News: The Owl Lives!
Early this week I shared with you our experience with the “Owl vs. Eagle”, and today I have some good news to share with you. We drove through the canyon yesterday, and checked the bush where Mtnman left the owl after his traumatic experience with the eagle. He was not there, nor were there feathers or other debris that would tell us he met a dreadful end. Nope. There was no sign of him, and this made me so happy. As we were leaving the canyon the owl flew over us, dipped his wings (a wing wave), circled back and over us again, before flying off. I choose to believe…

Eagle vs. Owl
Sunday we were out and about, driving into a canyon in the mountains. An owl flew over head and into a crevice of a rockface, and I thought what a neat sight to see. I’ve always been fascinated by owls because Granny loved her some owls. Her house had owl clocks, figurines and nicknacks, cookie jars and plates. Like I said, she loved her owls. Here in Nevada I’ve had the chance to see a lot of owls and I am just in awe each time we come across one. We were in the canyon for probably about an hour and as we were making our way out, we saw…

Dig Deep, Find Your Happy
Welp, the last post was a complete flop. Let’s try a different approach. Until recent years, I despised the holiday’s, but circumstances changed and now I truly do not mind them. I actually enjoy shopping for gifts for our nieces and it is always good to spend time with family over food. In my previous post I said that the best part of December was that we are getting closer to Thanksgiving, but that’s not really how I feel. I try not to wish my life away because before I know it, it will be gone. There are many things that I enjoy about December. The cold. The snow. Our…

Share Your Favorite Part about December.
I would like to get some engagement on the blog, so please do share with us what your favorite part of December is. It is only fair that I go first. With each day gone, we are one day closer to Thanksgiving! Okay now your turn. GO!

Ornery Abby
Abby has become quirky over the last few months, often saving her breakfast for dinner. She will look at her food, sniff it and walk away, and for the longest time it would worry me. I googled it, talked to the vet, had tests run and she is a healthy, happy golden. There is no reason she has stopped eating breakfast with the gusto we came to adore. None. To get her excited about eating (and mostly to stop me from worrying she was going to starve to death), MtnMan started playing a game with her. One that she looks forward to each morning now. She sees me getting her…

What I am Thankful For
I had planned to blog daily this month, sharing with you what I am most thankful for. As you can see, I was an epic failure in that regard, seeing as though I have only posted a couple threads and here we are, two days away from Thanksgiving. Yes! Two days! Oh my, how I love this time of year. More specifically, this month, this week and the day of the turkey. The day that I eat one slice of turkey because it is one tradition I cannot seem to break away from. Traditions. They are good to cherish and to hold on to. Some are worth tossing, while others…

Happy Birthday, Outlaw!
As most of you know, Outlaw is my longest running member and that is worth mentioning; that’s 14 years, if you’re wondering. I wish you a very happy birthday, Outlaw. My wish for you is that you will do something for yourself today that will make you smile. You deserve more smiles, less stress and nothing but happy days! Please take a minute of your time and wish this amazing person a happy birthday for me, and because I think everyone should be celebrated on the anniversary of their birth.
