I know I have been changing your schedules more than usual, but this is a must! The Monday night VNALive show will be at 11p EST and I hope that most of you will still be able to make it. If not, don’t forget that I do a member show at 8p EST on Tuesday’s and another Thursday night and sometimes Friday’s. It is good to be a member of mine!

    History of the Fourth

What does that stand for? Fireworks! Not exactly, although, I think some people only associate the fourth with a big booming show of explosives. This is the day that represents the signing of the Independence from Great Britain. On July 2, 1776 thirteen colonies gained their Independence when a congress approved the request. It took two days to write up a form of Independence explaining this decision, which was written by a committee of five. Thus, the fourth of July was born as the day that the United States became independent from Great Britain. Something that I’ve always found interesting is that two of the signers, of the Independence, died…

Seriously, Where Does It All Come From?

I am not sure that is a proper question, but it is fitting when doing laundry. It could be said that I have been in a serious slump lately that has given me absolutely no motivation to keep order, of any kind, with anything. It exasperates me constantly, yet it changes nothing; I still choose to stay in my slump and ignore the laundry and all other things that annoy me. That in itself, is annoying me. Yesterday I realized every set of sheets and most blankets were dirty and I had no choice but to start the wash. It turned into an all day event of just sheets and I…

    Happy Birthday!

Today is a good day to have a birthday! It is the first day of July, for one, and two, I’ve been told July babies are to be celebrated. My source is a very dependable one, although, biased; I’ve come to appreciate intolerant opinions, thoughts and observations. MtnMan, I want to wish you a very special and happy birthday! You are a generous man, not in just gifts and such, but your company and continued encouragement towards everyone, especially the ladies. It is endearing and you are a great part of our online community. One more time, happy birthday!

    Pfft!: Laundry

I don’t know anyone who enjoys the chore of doing laundry. It is a necessary task, but one that is time consuming, even if you have a system in place. You have to gather up the dirty clothes, sort them, wash, dry, fold and put away. The only time I LOVE laundry is when every basket is empty and all clothes are put away. This might be my least favorite chore to do. I will clean the entire house without disdain, but laundry, well, I will not make that same promise. I need laundry fairies to visit me while I’m asleep but they’d have to be very quiet or else…

    Watching the Minutes Pass

It has been a long time since I have had a day to myself and I thoroughly enjoyed it more than I should probably admit. I woke up at 10 but didn’t get out of bed until after noon. The TV was off and I was awake, but I wanted to savor my time, not wasting any of it being productive. Once I got out of bed, I started the meatloaf, showered and then got started on laundry. That is as productive as I was, and that was on purpose. I sat on the couch, with the TV turned off, the rest of the day. I just watched the minutes…

    There Are More Surprises?

MtnMan: You are always giving and full of surprises! The thoughtfulness that you continue to show means so much to me. The sandals match a lot of summer dresses, the dress is light and comfortable, the lavender blouse is gorgeous and the long shirt will be sexy when the weather cools off. Thank you for the many surprises and for the company you give me. *hugs*

    Dawn Marie’s Q&A

DRUNK Q&A – DAWN MARIE: Earlier in the year she asked me questions while I was drinking and doing shots with Rob. This time I will be the one interviewing her while she is getting her drink on. I have known her and Rob for a long time, but to see DM really tie one on is going to be epic! I want you guys to dig deep and ask her some interesting and fun questions. You have to email me, not her. Please send your questions before July 15th to angel@lonestarangel.net and I will have them ready for the video, which will be added to her website soon after.

    Meatloaf

As you know I have been trying to master meatloaf for a couple years now. It is not something Devil likes, so he doesn’t have the desire to make it, which is fine. It gives me something to strive for when he is out of town. After four unsuccessful and very life shattering disappointments, I swore off on ever making another meatloaf but Dawn Marie sent me a recipe for the crock pot that looked so amazing! I cut it in half and cooked it for 3.5 hours instead of the 7 it called for. It turned out so moist and delicious that I might have three dinners tonight! Meatloaf…
