    Replacement For the Bamboo

It’s been brought to my attention that the Bamboo plant in the studio needs to be planted into the ground soon. Thankfully Pharcyd mentioned it was time to transplant it, or else another one would have stop growing and turned non-green and I’d have just replaced it with another… chalking it up to a short life span. lol. I’ll be moving it to a huge planter pot in a few weeks, but cannot do so until we decide what to replace him with. A few of you had some great suggestions, which I’m listing below. Snake Plant – I originally said no because of the name, but I remember Mom…

    A Time Capsule

I’m working on some much needed computer work to give my site a refreshing face lift and cross a few other things off of my list. For background noise I’m watching TV and the current program is about time capsule’s. I vaguely remember my high school doing a few time capsule’s when we moved from one schoolhouse to two, and then a few years later we had a third built, giving us an Elementary, Junior High and High School. Getting My Groove Back

I’ve never had a hard time with motivation and staying productive… until this winter. Granted, we have not had a terrible winter, compared to the mid west and northeastern states, but it’s been long and unstable, to say the least. Our first cold front was the beginning of September, along with 6″ of rain. I’ll never complain about rain! Then it warmed back up but was a nice, comfortable fall, but was followed by a colder than normal start to November and was constantly windy, for two weeks. December was unseasonably warm and the first two weeks of January was spring like weather. Then it seemed like we had wind…

Used To Be a Best Kept Secret

Austin used to be the best kept secret. A sleepy town with a bustling nightlife full of live music venues and old historical theaters and clubs. What used to be a town no one traveled to is now a destination for many. There’s wedding parties of 20 meeting in Austin for the last hurrah and girls weekend get together’s. There’s family reunions and the like. It’s taken decades for SXSW (South by Southwest) to become so well known. It first began in 1987 and was only known by the locals as a music festival. Over the years it has grown and become known internationally. It’s not only a music festival, but…
