I had lunch with Red at one of my favorite restaurants. It is in an old lumberyard with beautiful gardens scattered about and old windows still hanging in the old frames that used to house fresh cut wood stock. They have a great lunch menu and I have never been disappointed with an order or the service. The company today made the experience even sweeter and very enjoyable. Thank you, Red. I love the sound of Tyson’s playful bark, Dora’s snoring and the Monster’s meows. The sound of acorns dropping on the tin roof, the wind blowing as fall moves in and the messy leaves all over the decks make me happy. What is your happy today?

With the two surgeries, the Monsters have kept to themselves, except for feeding time, which is several times throughout the day determined only by them. Tigger has always been Devil’s and he loves laying around his legs. However, he won’t go near the bedroom and yesterday he finally poked his head into the doorway, but as soon as Devil moved, he scooted along in a hurry. He will sleep in the kitchen curled up on his barstool all day long, but won’t reclaim his bed. Tony has been the same, for the most part, but the other day he joined me for morning hugs and gave me my happy. Tony…

It is my belief that Sunday was created for the sole purpose of giving us one day of rest. This day is meant for us to be lazy and recover from the week’s craziness and prepare for tomorrow. I don’t take advantage of that philosophy very often, but I enjoy it when I am able to lounge on the couch, watching TV or staring at the ceiling with nothing of importance on my mind. As I mentioned in the earlier post, I love Autumn and hope that it sticks around for a few weeks, but I am going to enjoy it while I can. October marks one entire month away from August and I am certain the chance of triple digits are behind us until next spring/summer, and that is reason to be happy! There are a few birthday’s that I have enjoyed celebrating this week, but only two that I can publicly show my excitement for. WLTNBN: I hope you had an amazing yesterday and that the cake that was made specifically for you was your favorite, and that it was a large one so that you can have cake well through the weekend!
