Happy Days
This weekend was everything I had hoped it would be and more. Saturday I woke up, did a whole lot of nothing until Devil was ready to pour concrete for a retaining wall. It was hot and humid, but it was bearable. I mixed one bag of concrete when the Asian ladies husband and buddy walked up, with beer in hand, and as we visited, they took over the mixing, which saved me from lifting 80 lbs of dry mix. With their help, the four of us shoveled the mix into the frame that Devil built, and was finished within an hour. I have never been so happy to see…

Are YOU My Superman?
I received a Superman T-shirt and a three pack of super hero panties over a month ago, and no one has claimed them. I have asked all of my nerds and so far no one has stepped forward. Are YOU my Superman? Yes or No?

A Plethora of Thanks
I have been fortunate to have fella’s who are not only kind, but also giving. Kooster, thank you for the many surprises you have sent me over the last few months – the dresses, cover up, t-shirts and the beautiful blouses, all of which I will wear. Nicster, you are always upbeat and so positive; you are an absolute delight to see. I cannot wait for cooler temps because your polka dot socks are happy and full of fun! As much as I despise the holiday’s, I cannot wait to wear the ugly sweater christmas socks. Thank you! Ridgiedidge, thank you for the gift card to sockdreams.com – I am…

Also, I want to thank you for letting me stop in her cams and chat with you guys for a bit, I have enjoyed getting to know you all a little bit better.. So thanks Cliff, Outlaw, Red, Bubba, MntMn, Windsor, Zany, Gregg, and Lefty, for allowing me to share your time with her. Lastly, I truly want to…

Word of the Day: Ipso-Facto
I am going to try something new, and it depends on how diligent I am as to how long it will last. Dawn Marie has been adding daily wisdom tweets to her TL and Dwwindsor taught me a new word the other night. I am going to try to do a “Word of the Day” thread and I want you to use it in a sentence. LOL. Sounds fun to me! Today’s word: adverb 1. by the fact itself; by the very nature of the deed: Dwwindsor is our resident bloviator and that is ipso-facto.

#WorldElephantDay
Yesterday was an amazing day from the beginning to the end, for many reasons. I had a great start to the day and it continued on throughout the morning, into the afternoon and through the evening. It was a great day to celebrate elephant’s and it is heartwarming to see a change in how they are protected and admired. In just the last couple of years advocates have spoken out against the ivory trade, trophy hunters, circus’ and zoos. Sanctuaries for these gentle giants, along with protecting their natural habitats have formed and a bond between human and elephant continues to grow stronger. We have domesticated animals, right or wrong,…

My Saturday
I am looking forward to waking up late, moving to the couch, watching mindless TV and catching up on emails and working on next weeks update’s. There will be three total; one will be a member’s ONLY set. It is good to be a member! Devil has a whole list of chores he is going to be doing outside. He is jazzed and overly excited to be spending the day in 111 degree heat, in my opinion, but I give him props for a productive plan. I, however, will not be assisting in his over extensive list of do’s. NO, I will not be. lol. I have a ton of…

Nelson’s Garden
Nelson’s garden has been a project in the works for a couple years now. I started with a slope that dropped 2 feet in just a small area, but it was perfect for a serene sitting area, especially in the morning. We built a slab, tiled it and then I started building a rock wall to create a garden scape. Nelson helped and walked on each rock that was in place, and if it wobbled, I’d fix it. We did this for several weeks until it was finished and ready for dirt. We lost Nelson right after the rock wall was finished and before I finished adding dirt. It took…
