Pfft!: Laundry
I don’t know anyone who enjoys the chore of doing laundry. It is a necessary task, but one that is time consuming, even if you have a system in place. You have to gather up the dirty clothes, sort them, wash, dry, fold and put away. The only time I LOVE laundry is when every basket is empty and all clothes are put away. This might be my least favorite chore to do. I will clean the entire house without disdain, but laundry, well, I will not make that same promise. I need laundry fairies to visit me while I’m asleep but they’d have to be very quiet or else…

Watching the Minutes Pass
It has been a long time since I have had a day to myself and I thoroughly enjoyed it more than I should probably admit. I woke up at 10 but didn’t get out of bed until after noon. The TV was off and I was awake, but I wanted to savor my time, not wasting any of it being productive. Once I got out of bed, I started the meatloaf, showered and then got started on laundry. That is as productive as I was, and that was on purpose. I sat on the couch, with the TV turned off, the rest of the day. I just watched the minutes…

There Are More Surprises?
MtnMan: You are always giving and full of surprises! The thoughtfulness that you continue to show means so much to me. The sandals match a lot of summer dresses, the dress is light and comfortable, the lavender blouse is gorgeous and the long shirt will be sexy when the weather cools off. Thank you for the many surprises and for the company you give me. *hugs*

Dawn Marie’s Q&A
DRUNK Q&A – DAWN MARIE: Earlier in the year she asked me questions while I was drinking and doing shots with Rob. This time I will be the one interviewing her while she is getting her drink on. I have known her and Rob for a long time, but to see DM really tie one on is going to be epic! I want you guys to dig deep and ask her some interesting and fun questions. You have to email me, not her. Please send your questions before July 15th to angel@lonestarangel.net and I will have them ready for the video, which will be added to her website soon after.

Meatloaf
As you know I have been trying to master meatloaf for a couple years now. It is not something Devil likes, so he doesn’t have the desire to make it, which is fine. It gives me something to strive for when he is out of town. After four unsuccessful and very life shattering disappointments, I swore off on ever making another meatloaf but Dawn Marie sent me a recipe for the crock pot that looked so amazing! I cut it in half and cooked it for 3.5 hours instead of the 7 it called for. It turned out so moist and delicious that I might have three dinners tonight! Meatloaf…

The Loner
Predita had three in her original litter, two being George and Gizmo and one was a loner. She never got a name because she was rarely seen, nor did she socialize with the others. With the rest gone, she was the last stray that I needed to catch, but since she was never around, I wasn’t sure how to go about setting a trap. I decided to stop feeding our cats outside for a few days and yesterday I noticed she was sitting a the empty food bowl waiting for me. When I walked up on the deck she ran behind some plants, but didn’t vacate the area. I set…

Quiet Home. No Visitors.
Devil is going to Vegas on Thursday and I am looking forward to having a quiet house, with no chaos and no company. It is going to be four days of no one stopping by for a beer, or wanting to walk over for a visit in the afternoon. I am not leaving the house until I have to pick him up on Monday and it is going to be fucking awesome! If someone knocks, I will not answer the door. I am going to be a recluse and I will be good at it! Okay, if Joann or Glenda knock, I will answer the door. But that is it.

Tyson Found a Surprise
The other day I heard Tyson barking, but it wasn’t his normal alert that someone, or an unwanted animal, has breached the premises. It was kind of a curious, yet playful bark; the same sound he makes when the squirrels are teasing him. I look out the window and he is popping his head up and down, ears flying and he is happy excited. Dora is just a spectator. I walked outside and I could see something smacking him in the face and he was just happy to be playing, which reassured me it was not a snake. Once I got into the pen I could tell that it was…

Farewell Perdita and Brood
In the spring of 2014 Perdita found our home and never left. She was tiny, scared and alone. I always wondered where her litter mates were, but she always remained as the sole “lost one”. The Monsters were just a year old and were new to the outdoors, exploring and curious, but also territorial. Territorial except with Perdita, who followed them around like a shadow. She never grew much bigger than she was and always looked small compared to the others. Within a year she had produced a litter of her own and they were fluffy balls of cuteness. I named one George, who turned out to be a female,…
