A Jar with Only a Few Pennies and a Couple of Dimes.
We have several pizza places to choose from, but the one Devil likes the most no longer delivers. Catch that? No longer delivers. They did, at one time, but they no longer feel the need to deliver. Sure there are other places, all of which deliver, but this is Devil’s favorite. So, I usually go pick it up. When I walked in I was accosted by the same lady, as always. No problem. Customer service. I dig it. The door opens up right in front of the counter/kitchen area. She always asks if it’s pick up. I say yes. She asks for a name. I give her one. She literally looks…

Your First
I’ve been watching the news this morning and they seem to think the eldest Obama daughter’s first job is news worthy. It turns out the being assistant to the Production Manager on Halle Berry’s set, is a normal, minimum wage job for most teenagers. I get that being the daughter of the President isn’t normal. It brings experiences into her life that most will never have. It also robs her of many childhood memories that most kids her age are experiencing right now. However, a job on a movie set is no where near a normal minimum wage job for a child. I respect that he wants to “teach” her…

Juneteenth
President Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation in 1862, to become effective on January 1st, of the following year. He declared all slaves would be free, and no longer owned by another person. However, it had very little effect in the Confederate States, including Texas. General Gordon Granger and 2,000 troops arrived on the island of Galveston, TX on June 18th, 1865 to take custody of the state, and to emancipate all slaves. On June 19th he stood on the balcony of Ashton Villa and read this: The people of Texas are informed that, in accordance with a proclamation from the Executive of the United States, all slaves are free. This involves…

Don’t Cut Another Person Down because You Hate Yourself
When I was younger, I knew this woman who was in her 40’s, and she went out of her way to insult me. She had big, huge implants and beautiful long hair. I was so insecure then, and she knew it. Her insults cut deep, but I never had the desire to make her feel just as insecure about her ugly teeth as she would about my flaws. However, many years later I realize that she was very unhappy about herself, or else she wouldn’t have made it her mission to attack me like she would. I’m much more comfortable with who I am, and I’ve embraced my small boobs,…

Are You Ready?
I love my online world, or else, I couldn’t do it. I’ve come to really enjoy my days and I look froward to catching up with my fella’s. Without you guys, it would be incredibly boring! I don’t expect, or even require, you guys to go private or give gold. The company you guys give me is priceless! You guys also give me patience. Patience with those who go out of their way to push my buttons. Here’s one guy that tries my patience each day that I see him. I’d say each time, but when I do see him, it’s all fucking day long, and it is always the…

Good Lord, No!
It seems I have fallen down on my blog! I now have two goals this week. To clean up the sticky notes I have cluttered my laptop screen with, and to blog my ass off! What should I blog about? Is it too late to blog about the historical Friday the 13th we all just experienced? Maybe about Global Warming? Just kidding about that last one. I blame Al Gore. Okay, so if you have any suggestions… any at all… please let me hear them. Until then, here’s a cute picture to ponder over.

Singing in the Rain…
While we were in Omaha we had a few hours to spare while we waited on our friend. It was raining so we decided to hit up some vintage shops. In the first shop there was a cute old lady behind the counter. She was all smiles. I browsed for a few minutes and found a top and necklace so up to the counter I went. The lady told me that if I could sing one line in a song, that has the word “rain” in it, I would get one item half off. I asked her if Devil could stand in for me, because he’s the song guru. I…

The Omaha Zoo
Today we’re off to the Omaha Zoo and I’m so excited! I’ve always enjoyed going to zoo’s, even as a kid. There’s just something about animals that makes any day better. They have stories of their own, and even though they are caged, they give back to society in ways that we never will. They are nature. Many zoos have become a safe refuge for animals who found themselves in the circus, or chained to a tree. I’m not sure what the story of the Omaha Zoo is, but according to their website they are the biggest one in the world. In the world! One thing I have enjoyed about…

VNA Show Rescheduled: June 9th
I’ll be on my way home from NE that Monday, and there’s a good probability that I won’t be home in time for the Monday night show. So, it’ll be Friday night at 9p EST. Don’t forget.
