    Fuck.

I just realized that I had a folder of pictures on the Window’s computer that Devil took back to the store. They were saved, waiting for blog posts, and now they’re gone. Forever. Now the world is going to come to an end and you’ll never see them. Ever. Don’t you go jumping to conclusions. They were not x-rated and even if they were, they were wiped clean when Devil set the computer back to the factory settings…

    Safety First, I Get It

I understand why large construction trucks have a constant *beep* when in reverse, but it sure is annoying! If people weren’t so obtuse and distracted, then maybe it wouldn’t be such a constant *beep* … *beep* … *beep* – I mean, seriously! If people would watch where they’re going and not walk behind a dump truck, or under a load of mulch being dumped, then we might not have to hear that constant beep when there’s construction near. Of course, those who are walking stupid are also those who sue the companies when they walk behind a tire larger than them and get rolled flat. Don’t be a walking stupid.

    The Summer Party

This is the first year we’ve had a summer party and it was a huge success! It was a smaller crowd than what we had this past January, but it was intimate and good fun. We had Dawn Marie (dawnmariesdream.com) and Rob (@dreamnetrob) fly in for a few days, along with several fella’s and a few friends. The weather was beautiful and the night was crisp with plenty of dancing and tons of laughing. Those of you that made it to another party, thank you! It means a lot to us that you would take the time and spend the money to make the trip. I have an amazing group…

    YIM Not Compatible

We have a friend who I talk to each day, via YIM. It’s the only reason I use this messenger service, other than touching base with Kristine, from time to time. Apparently, YIM is not compatible to the new Macbook OS systems. Does anyone use YIM and is there a quick fix to this problem? It’s not a huge deal, obviously, but it’s become an easy way for me to check on him and to keep in touch…

    She Cooked For Me

Devil is in Austin and called to let me know he’ll be home in time to take Eunhee, his Asian lady, to play poker tonight. A short while later she calls to inform me that she’s stopping by to drop something off for me and it was a container of egg rolls. She is afraid that I will starve if Devil isn’t home to cook, and since she’s the reason he won’t be making dinner tonight, she wanted to make sure I am fed. This is one, of many reasons, I cannot be too annoyed when I find her drinking on my deck at all hours of the night. lol.…

    Busy Week

Hey guys! I have a long list of blog posts to add, but very little time to put fingers to keyboard. LOL. Get it? Pen to paper.. since we no longer use paper… anyway, moving on. This week is going to be crazy for me. I’ll be online most of Monday and Tuesday, with very late nights. Wednesday is a possibility, but I don’t know yet.. just depends on how much energy I have left after mowing the yard.. I’ll be offline from Thursday – Monday, returning late Tuesday… And then I’ll have a lot of catching up to do, but we’ll worry about that next week. I hope that…

    Technologies Finest

I think we’ve all experienced the tech market expanding far beyond Nintendo game systems and Walkmans. We’ve gone from party lines to home telephones to answering machines and now smart phones. I don’t remember the party lines, but I certainly remember the days before there was a machine that plugged into the phone and recorded someone’s message. I also remember when everyone had typewriters instead of personal computers. At any rate, out of all of the technology that we’ve experienced, which is your favorite? Mine would have to be text messaging. It is easy to stay connected by sending a text, instead of being stuck on the phone for an…

    History: Memorial Day

It’s been a long while since I’ve forced history upon you guys, here on my blog. Today seems fitting to change that. It began as Decoration Day following the Civil War in 1868, when Union veterans declared it as a time for the nation to remember the dead by placing flowers on graves. For many years the Union and Confederate soldiers remembered their fallen on different days. They soon merged, and Memorial Day became a tradition to honor all Americans who died while in military service. Volunteers place flags at each grave site in national cemeteries, but many other towns have also taken on the task of acknowledging their fallen…
