Good Lord, No!
It seems I have fallen down on my blog! I now have two goals this week. To clean up the sticky notes I have cluttered my laptop screen with, and to blog my ass off! What should I blog about? Is it too late to blog about the historical Friday the 13th we all just experienced? Maybe about Global Warming? Just kidding about that last one. I blame Al Gore. Okay, so if you have any suggestions… any at all… please let me hear them. Until then, here’s a cute picture to ponder over.

Singing in the Rain…
While we were in Omaha we had a few hours to spare while we waited on our friend. It was raining so we decided to hit up some vintage shops. In the first shop there was a cute old lady behind the counter. She was all smiles. I browsed for a few minutes and found a top and necklace so up to the counter I went. Don’t Forget!
This is just a reminder, in the event you remember to read my blog. lol. There will be no show tonight, but it will be rescheduled for this coming Friday at 9p EST …. it’s Friday the 13th. The Omaha Zoo
Today we’re off to the Omaha Zoo and I’m so excited! I’ve always enjoyed going to zoo’s, even as a kid. There’s just something about animals that makes any day better. They have stories of their own, and even though they are caged, they give back to society in ways that we never will. They are nature. Many zoos have become a safe refuge for animals who found themselves in the circus, or chained to a tree. I’m not sure what the story of the Omaha Zoo is, but according to their website they are the biggest one in the world. In the world! One thing I have enjoyed about…

It’s a lot of Work
We’re only going to be gone for a few days and yet, it has taken me all day just to get ready to get on the road! I mowed around the house, and dog pens, to make it easy for Mike and his family to take care of the place. I hate walking through knee high grass, and I’m surely not going to let them do that when they’re doing us a favor. So, that was first. Then I let the dogs run around like crazy kids while I cleaned out their pool. It was disgusting after all of the rain we had a few weeks ago.. so, now they…

Locations of the Storm Cellars
We’re leaving for Omaha tomorrow night, and I’ve been worried about the storms. I’m not usually one to worry about rain, wind and the dangers of being in the middle of a torrential downpour, but I’m also not in the mid west. When it sprinkles, there’s a tornado on the next block that’s moving in all directions. I’ve been telling Devil for the last week that we’re not driving through a tornado stricken area. We’ll have to find a truck stop with a basement.. or a family that doesn’t look to be angry. Anyway, he’s been laughing it off, but this morning the friend that’s going with us sent him…

Rain!
We had huge rain systems move through most of Texas this past week, and it was glorious! Granted, we had flash floods, but damn we needed it and continue to need more. The vegetation has been given a rebirth, the ground is saturated, the wells are slowly replenishing and our water tank is full. All from the rains we’ve had this week. It gives me hope. Hope that our beautiful hill country isn’t going to turn into a desert. I hope this means “el nino” is here to stay for awhile… He should just unpack his bags.

Infuriating Frustrations
I feel like I might owe you all an apology. I try to give you guys the real me, which is generally very positive and upbeat. However, this past week I’ve been in a “mood” and today sent me into a rage, which I tweeted some of. I’ve always tried to keep that to a minimum because you all are amazing, and the issues that are behind the scenes with cam sites are not your problem. With that said, nothing has been resolved. For whatever reason AT&T suddenly has a problem connecting to Streamate.com and it’s been going on for four weeks. The response I got was hours of frustrations…

Places to Go, People to See
Are you from Nebraska, or have you traveled through the Cornhusker state? We’re staying in and around Omaha so if you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear from you. We don’t have much time, and I do plan to go visit the elephants in Omaha, but I might never be back… so, if there’s some historical must see, I need to know! Maybe I’ll find an old abandoned barn…. to get naked in. *wink*
