Where the Fuck is the Battery?
I had to be in Austin early this morning and the car would not start. The dash lights lit up, but the dome lights were very dim. I got the battery charger and popped the hood, only to be confused. There was no battery insight, nor was there a positive or negative hub to hook the cables to. I thought I just need to slowly evaluate the situation, which was a success, kind of. I found a plastic red cover with a positive (+) mark on it. Sweet. That must be the battery. I popped the plastic cover off to find a thousand fuses and mini fuse boxes. WTF. That…

Can You ? . . .
I do Skype shows by request and appointment only, for several reasons. Most of those who ask about Skype shows have found me on a cam network and think that they will have a better chance of getting a royal treatment of entitlement. It does not work that way. My rates are lower on Skype, but I have a minimum of ten minutes. When you tell me you will give $10 for 5 minutes, I am not going to give you a response. First of all, if five minutes was an option, I would not have told you there is a minimum of ten. Second of all, if I allowed…

EXTRA! EXTRA!
During the VNA show I made mention of doing an extra member’s show this week, and DrDave (of VNA) showed his excitement to the news. What I didn’t say was I would be doing the show on Streamate, not VNA. However, he is a good one and I have come to enjoy the crowd on their network, mostly because you guys, but I enjoy “them” as well. At any rate, I didn’t have the heart to tell him that wasn’t meaning VNA. Here is your schedule for this week. Tuesday – 8p EST (as usual, so no absences accepted) Thursday – 11p EST (Streamate) Friday – 11p EST (VNA)

New Read: Rosemary
I am reading “Rosemary The Hidden Kennedy Daughter” and I have to say, it makes me dislike the Kennedy’s more than I already did. They have been plagued with tragedy, yet it may very well be karma collecting penance. I have read articles regarding Rosemary, daughter of Joe and Rose, but it wasn’t until I started reading the book that I realize how deep their cruelty was. I have only just begun the read, but if you are a Kennedy enthusiast, I would suggest the book.

Lazy, Yet Productive
My Saturday had a much earlier start than I would have liked, but by noon I had cleaned up the studio, moved some planters out of the greenhouse and started laundry. Instead of cleaning the house, I found the couch for an hour, enjoying coffee and the solitude of my own thoughts. It was nice. In order to not feel guilty, I decided to go check the vegetable garden since I had planned on getting it ready for seeds. Thankfully, we had too much rain to make that possible; back to the couch I went. After another hour of solitude, I decided to move one more plant out of the…

Fucking DST
Yes, I’m on that soap box, again, but seriously, we have no use for daylight savings time! It was not thought up to help the farmers, it was a way to save energy when the light bulb was invented! Okay, that might be an exaggeration, but the point is, there’s no need for us to honor daylight savings time. Maybe I should lobby against this stupid idea! Anyway, this is a friendly reminder to spring your fucking clocks ahead one hour, unless you’re lucky enough to live in Arizona or Indianapolis, then you can just kiss my ass. lol. Just kidding. I’m not hostile towards you… yet. lol

A Stormy Cleansing
I love rain storms, no matter the severity of them. Sure, some are tragic and some are disappointing, but mother nature is a beautiful creature. This past week we had several inches of rain, which was greatly needed. We were in the onset of a drought and the rains revitalized the trees, ground and gave a good boost to the wildflowers. I loved walking outside this morning, with the deck covered in wet leaves and water dripping from plants and tree limbs. It cleans off the old, dusty days of the past and gets us ready for the future. It is breathtaking to smell the clean air while listening to…

No Naps EVER
I don’t take naps. Not because I don’t want to, but because it will take me the rest of the day to recover. I’ll wake up more exhausted, grumpy and most likely angry at anyone I come into contact with. I’ve always been like this. It is nothing new. I wish I could power nap, or rest my eyes to refresh myself. I can’t, so I don’t. This entire week I’ve been up early and on the go until I say “g’night” to you guys online. This afternoon Devil goes to take a nap and frowned when I said I’ll be in the living room. I have NEVER taken naps,…

Weekend Outlook
I have been sitting in front of a blank screen for awhile now, trying to think of something fun and interesting to share with you. The truth is, I have not been able to think of anything because nothing comes to mind, but then I realized it doesn’t have to be about elephants to be amazing. lol. Just kidding, it really does take eles for that to be the case. The week has been crazy busy with Devil’s pneumonia, the rain and other chaos (thrown in for good measure by Devil), but the weekend looks promising. I had planned to spend all day outside, but with all the rain, there…
