    Going Back to My Roots

I know I keep throwing my divorce out there, at the most random of times, but I cannot express enough how relieved I am to be finished and ready for my next chapter; a true #newbeginning. I am looking forward to so many changes, and a very positive future. Today I am going to the DMV to change my name; I am going back to my maiden name. I think everyone should remember where they came from, good or bad, and to be able to reflect on it has made me appreciative to have had a loving home as a child. It has helped me process a lot in recent…

    Beautiful

I saw this the other day and it speaks volumes to the year, and gives me hope for the next chapter in my life. Be present. Make love. Make tea. Avoid small talk. Embrace conversation. Buy a plant, water it. Make your bed. Make someone else’s bed. Have a smart mouth, and quick wit. Run. Make art. Create. Swim in the ocean. Swim in the rain. Rake chances. Ask questions. Make mistakes. Learn. Know your worth. Love fiercely. Forgive quickly. Let go of what doesn’t make you happy. Grow.

    An Amazing Community

I am always amazed at what an amazing community we have found and created on thelonestarangel.com – you guys have always been good to me, kind hearted and full of support and good vibes.  With my #newbeginnings have come some uncertain times and shuffling of addresses and scattered news. Not one time have you guys complained when a gift was shipped to an old address, or for whatever reason, returned by the Post Office with no explanation as to why. Most have wondered, but only few have pried.  In May I stayed with my Austin friends – JoAnn and Bo, and in June I made the transition to PHX, where…

    Benefits of #newbeginnings

Yet another example of what makes my #newbeginnings so amazing! I matter. It is as simple as that, and it feels invigorating and makes me smile. I no longer have to talk to people who are self-centered assholes. Those who are concerned only about themselves, calling me a friend, but never asking how I am doing. The people who never make an effort but feel entitled to my time, on their terms, never giving back in return. I can now ignore them, without being told, “you should respond, they just asked me if you are mad at them.” … yeah, I am not, I just don’t like their company, nor…

    My Tomorrow

For me life has changed and, although, uncertain, it is a beautiful and bright future. It has been a healthy and positive transition for me, and I owe a lot of that to Dawn and Rob, along with my Texas friends (JoAnn and Bo). They have given me a sound foundation when I needed a step back. With that said, my online community has kept me grounded and given me hope. Thank you for all of the support, encouragement and the inspirational words that have crossed my screen in the last several months.  Many of you have asked what my plans are, and where I will end up, and to…

    Investing into My New Beginnings.

My site has always been 100% me, from the write-ups, to the blogging and definitely in all of the email correspondence. There is a lot more to maintaining the site than just the face of it on social media and with what is shown, but in content and producing videos. With everything else that I had on my plate, the editing and rendering of the videos and sorting the pictures was not something I bothered with. However, now I am going to dive in and learn how to do what I probably should have been doing all along. I have to admit, I am looking forward to it because this…
