Hello! I was going to cancel another week of VNA, just out of spite, I guess, but then I received an email from Gregg with two g’s. My 2016 – Chaos
Each year I hope that I can finally slow down and find some peaceful solitude, but each year proves to be utter fucking chaos and 2016 was, by far, the craziest for me. We started out with the annual January party, which was followed by Devil’s birthday, then mine and a trip to Mexico. As soon as we returned home Devil finally had his back surgery, which was much harder than what he thought it would be. The Best of 2016
According to everyone on Twitter, in the media and most people I know, they are of the opinion that 2016 was the worst year to date. I disagree in that our economy was not in a recession, jobs were aplenty, and no world war loomed in the shadows. If I were to see it from their viewpoint, I probably would not disagree as much as I do. I mean, we lost some great people, but that happens when you do drugs and live as though you are invincible. VNA Cancelled
Hello! What a crazy time of year, after a very hectic 2016, I have to say. It is rare that I cancel without making the show up, but it cannot be avoided this time. I am so sorry! However, if there is an evening this next week that will work, I will spring one on you with short notice. A Note of Gratitude
Devil’s procedure went well and and planned, which is great news! He had a 2 hour recovery before they released us to go home. This was nothing like a knee replacement so there won’t be much down town, thankfully. I have had text messages, tweets, blog comments and emails asking about the procedure and his recovery. Schedule Changes and Internet Woes
After several days of texts messages and phone calls the internet provider has done some remote testing. The radio that transmits our signal has “slipped” and needs to be adjusted. Unfortunately it will not be addressed today, but tomorrow. I will be online as usual, but it means I may have another day of drops. I will do the VNA show and if we are unable to enjoy the hour, I will do a makeup show on one of the other networks later in the week.
