    Armistice Day

    World War I ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, when the Armistice with Germany went into effect. Armistice: a truce to end hostilities. At the urging of veteran organizations, it was later named Veterans Day, and is also known as Remembrance day, recognized annually.  This year the Veterans parade was held Saturday, Veterans day Sunday (11/11) and Monday being the observed day for the Government agencies to have another 3-day weekend.  Today is a day to celebrate all US veterans, whereas, Memorial day is to remember those that died in service to our country.  I would like to thank those who…
