In New Jersey

G’morning! Happy Friday! I hope this finds you all having a wonderful day and looking forward to the week ahead. We flew out of Austin yesterday, which is usually uneventful and easy. It’s a small airport so security takes about five minutes, and that’s if there’s people in front of you. There are a handful of gates, a few shops and tons of local restaurants and a bar, or two. We arrived much earlier than needed, but it’s impossible to know what the traffic will be like, since it’s a log jam most of the way, and we’re not right down the street. After we picked up one of our friends, we were at the airport, without incident, and through security within minutes. We stopped at a bar where they had a beer, at 10a, and I opted for water. I like to enjoy a beer, but preferable in the afternoon hours. lol. Everything was on time, which is the norm for Austin, until Air Force One landed. I was walking with our friend when we noticed everyone running over to the window. Of course that made us curious because there was no fire, no sirens, no noticeable catastrophe.  After we walked into the waiting area at gate 17, we saw a plane… it looked like a plane… I remembered reading that the President was going to be in Austin for the day. We kept walking. lol. It was cool, I suppose. I knew Devil would want pictures so I made my way back to the bar so he could go check it out.

That little stunt grounded all planes for over an hour, which was no big deal. The guys just chose to keep on drinking, and, of course, meeting ladies. Business and vacationers alike. They had no preference. lol. Once we were in the air it was an easy flight, until we arrived into the Newark area. We were in a holding pattern for an hour, which meant we circled the airport. They had too many planes coming in at the same time, so apparently there were a lot of planes circling around us. It seems to be popular to blame Obama, so I blame him for that, too! lol. Just kidding. I don’t know what it was, but it gave me another hour to read. WOOT!

Now we’re getting ready to head to Atlantic City, once the boys wake up. It’s after 10, so I’m hoping that’s soon…
