Four and a Half Inches

Boy, we finally got a good soaking of rain! The first night of storms was severe. We were in the very center of each storm wave, so we managed to get more than most. Along with those first 4″ we had thunder, lightning and wind. It was a welcome relief, even with the wind and thunder. It rained through the next morning, but then tapered off until the next night. I thought it was going to be a replay of the night before, but it was scattered storms, leaving us with another 1/2 of an inch.

My plants and our trees are loving this weather! What’s strange is it drastically dropped the temps. It went from 90+ down to 50 with high winds.
