Locations of the Storm Cellars
We’re leaving for Omaha tomorrow night, and I’ve been worried about the storms. I’m not usually one to worry about rain, wind and the dangers of being in the middle of a torrential downpour, but I’m also not in the mid west. When it sprinkles, there’s a tornado on the next block that’s moving in all directions. I’ve been telling Devil for the last week that we’re not driving through a tornado stricken area. We’ll have to find a truck stop with a basement.. or a family that doesn’t look to be angry. Anyway, he’s been laughing it off, but this morning the friend that’s going with us sent him a text that said- “Hey! It looks like we’re going to miss the tornadoes, since we’re not leaving until tomorrow night!” … As soon as we get to her parents house, I’m going to ask them for blueprints of the entire subdivision. I need to know where every single storm cellar is, within a mile. If I’m in their driveway, is the neighbor’s hole in the ground closer, or what? I need to know!
