Replacement For the Bamboo

Affectionately Named "Boo"
Affectionately Named “Boo”

It’s been brought to my attention that the Bamboo plant in the studio needs to be planted into the ground soon. Thankfully Pharcyd mentioned it was time to transplant it, or else another one would have stop growing and turned non-green and I’d have just replaced it with another… chalking it up to a short life span. lol.

I’ll be moving it to a huge planter pot in a few weeks, but cannot do so until we decide what to replace him with. A few of you had some great suggestions, which I’m listing below.

Snake Plant – I originally said no because of the name, but I remember Mom having one when I was a kid and it was

my job to water it… so, I’m pretty sure one would be safe for me to have in the studio. Unless, of course, she went behind me giving it extra care so I wouldn’t kill it…

Aloe Vera – I’ve killed one of these in the past… when I say past, I mean within the last two years. One could even say that’s the recent past that is no longer present… but not necessarily the past…. and it did not grow back even when I continued to water the carcass beneath the dirt. lol. But, I haven’t killed anything since, so I would

probably be able to maintain it…

Chinese Evergreen – love these plants, but I have a bunch of Ivy and want something with personality, and a conversation piece… basically, I want something different to look at when no one is talking to me.

Devil’s Tongue- absolutely not. Do you know how many stupid comments people would make because they fancy themselves a comedian and not a creep with a dirty mind?  Yeah, too many and I don’t really want to help them out with something that looks like that
