Two Weeks Into July

I cannot believe we’re already into the second week of July. Where does the time go? It seems like time stood still when I was a kid. I’d always wish for the weekend, or wish for the next day off from school. Sometimes I’d just wish for a different day. Now it seems like the days come and go, hardly leaving a mark. This summer has been a whirlwind of changes and surprises. Some good, some bad; but that’s life and we have to adapt, or else it’s out of control.

Let’s start with the good. You guys have been a constant in my world, one which I never expected, but have come to rely on. I love that we have a community that we all connect with throughout the week. Sometimes it’s just a short visit, while other times it’s an evening routine. Whichever it is for you, it means a lot that you share your time with me. The June party was a huge success, as I knew it would be. MtnMan and Jer showed up with bags of goodies, which just made me smile. The bags were full of Goldfish, Twizzlers, Butterfingers and Amps. All of which I’m still enjoying, even a month later! A few days after the party I found a box in my studio with Amps, an Elephant and a baggie of pink Starbursts, which had Lefty written all over it! Bubba, Red and Cliff all made the drive out to the house and we had a great group of friends show up for a summer BBQ. Our friends have come to know my fella’s and they ask about you all throughout the year. Dwwindsor and Hedo were definitely missed and a few people asked how we could have a party without the two of you!

Another great part of this summer has been the late spring rain we had, which has given us cooler temps and green grass with an abundant garden. Even our trees have grown noticeably and now need to be trimmed around our roof. Last night we were sitting on our deck and enjoyed an amazing breeze, which can be rare for the middle of July. I’m hoping for a pleasant August, which is wishing for the moon. August in Texas is my least favorite month!

Now on to the bad part of this blog post. Since the beginning of June there have been major issues on Streamate. Tech problems is something I’ve dealt with from time to time, but I’ve always been able to remedy them without concerning you guys. This time, however, it has been noticeable even to the novice cam viewer. I just want you to know that’s why I haven’t been on much for the last couple weeks. I’m in the process of looking for a new site to call home, but until I find something worth sharing I hesitate to give you guys the link. The reason for that is many of you have joined two sites, but within the first few hours I knew my search would continue. I don’t want you to have to join another site, until I know it’s worthy of our group. I’ll continue to be on SM in the evenings, so we can at least stay connected. It could be worse, but it has been a sudden and drastic change.

My goal for this weekend is to overwhelm you guys with blogs! LOL. It’s going to be a great second half of the month!
