Watching the Minutes Pass
It has been a long time since I have had a day to myself and I thoroughly enjoyed it more than I should probably admit. I woke up at 10 but didn’t get out of bed until after noon. The TV was off and I was awake, but I wanted to savor my time, not wasting any of it being productive. Once I got out of bed, I started the meatloaf, showered and then got started on laundry. That is as productive as I was, and that was on purpose. I sat on the couch, with the TV turned off, the rest of the day. I just watched the minutes pass by and really enjoyed the quiet peacefulness of a chaos-free zone. I had to remind myself a couple times that it was to be a low-productive day, which was not hard to convince myself of. I just simply embraced it. I’d say it was exactly what I needed.

Do you think it would be too much for me to ask for 4 days each week? lol
