A Bittersweet G’Bye

A couple days ago I had something sweet, yet sad, happen to me while on cam. A gentleman that I have known for 6+ years stopped into my cam room to say “g’bye”. We have had a lot of fun times over the years, but I have also talked to him through some sad times, encouraged him during grad school and congratulated him on his first job in a long career ahead of him. We’ve talked on bad days, happy days and after a night drinking with buddies. He is a good guy who has always been a delight to visit with and fun to be with in private. He has moved out of a big city to be closer to his family and now he is making more changes that he feels needs to happen in order for his future to be bright. I respect that and absolutely understand it and wish him nothing but the best in happiness and life. It is bittersweet. I am grateful he had the respect to tell me.
