The World Series 2016: DM vs. DW
The 2016 World Series is going to be historical. You have Dawn Marie rooting on the Cubbies, who hope to break their 108 year losing streak and Dwwindsor on the other side hoping his Indians can pull off the big win after a 68 year drought.
The Cubs have the curse of the Billy Goat, but seriously, was it Murphy, the goat, who was kicked out of the last World Series they have been in, or just that they had insufficient players? Hmmm. The Red Sox was cursed by Babe Ruth, so maybe Murphy did put a curse on the Cubbies. At any rate, I would say the curse has been broken and now on to the Indians. They do not seem to have any such curse on them, but they moved around and changed names so many times I lost interest in reading. I will say this, the two teams both deserve to be in the World Series and they have waited the longest for the title.

I’m kind of impartial to pull for either team since I like and respect them both equally. It’s about time that both teams finally made a World Series, especially the Cubs. I like what Tony Francona has done to turn the Indians around and shove it back into Boston’s face (I HATE the Red Sox, being a NY Yankee fan, lol). I won’t be able to watch the World Series since I don’t receive any FOX channels on my current cable TV set up so I suppose I could watch online. Sorry DM and DW, I just can’t make a favorable choice although I’m very pleased that the Red Sox aren’t in it, ha!

I hate to admit it. But, I haven’t paid to much attention to the game this season. I normally root for the Cubs. I always go for the underdog in Baseball. If I’m not mistaken I believe Back To The Future predicted the Cubs would win the World Series ….

It was a GREAT series and for that as a sports fan I am grateful. We watched every single one of the Cubs post season games and that is something I do not think Rob and I have ever done. Thrilled for the city of Chicago, our adopted second hope and the birth place of my future grandson 🙂 So sorry DW, perhaps next year.
