My 2016 – Chaos

Each year I hope that I can finally slow down and find some peaceful solitude, but each year proves to be utter fucking chaos and 2016 was, by far, the craziest for me.

We started out with the annual January party, which was followed by Devil’s birthday, then mine and a trip to Mexico. As soon as we returned home Devil finally had his back surgery, which was much harder than what he thought it would be. He was still in recovery when we had our June party, and thankfully I had a lot of help from MtnMan, Bo and Jo, or else I would not have been able to get everything ready. We had a couple visits from Dawn and Rob, which is always a week of fun and a lot of drinking. The most memorable week, for me, was for her birthday. She has always loved her birthday and gives a 6 month countdown to the day, which is just precious! What makes it even more enjoyable is that she is not about the gifts, but about her day being happy! I love that! In the mix of everything, Devil had two more knee surgeries, thankfully only one was full replacement. I had a couple girl’s weekends and we made a few trips out of town to see Joe Ely. This year would not have been so hard had it not been for the three surgeries, but we survived and now it is time to begin another year.
