It is sad for me to say this. But, all the years of working for HEB have made me hate every holiday. What little time I had off was spent sleeping or rushing to eat then sleep so I could go back to work. The first holiday I had off was Thanksgiving of 2011 and that is because I left HEB just a week before the holiday. From June of 1981 until November of 2011 I worked every holiday even when the store was closed. The only thing that lifted my spirits was being able to take a week or so off for my birthday every January.
My favorite weekend of the year (less all the mooks who just shop shop shop for that Kris Kringle holiday) and simply enjoy spending it with close friends like you Angel.

Okay, but there is no reason for you to hate T’giving. Just saying.

I do, however, support your hate for Christmas. That is an evil holiday. lol.

And, the retailers have made it worse, but also those who think that the holiday’s are all about gifts and nothing else.

Give me a few more years and I may come around, Hun. That job gave me a bad taste for most of the things I enjoyed before working there.

Sorry you had to work so many holidays for so long Bubba.

It was my fault for staying so long.

My favorite part is eating all the wonderful food.
lonestarangel
Yes, the food is definitely a big hit for me, too!

Hey Hedo! Holiday’s should be spent with friends, and not around gifts… agreed!
