🐾 Welcome Whiskey Willow: Our Golden Girl Has Arrived

We’re thrilled to introduce the newest—and fluffiest—member of our family: Whiskey Willow, our 8-week-old golden retriever puppy. She’s been with us for just two days, but it already feels like she’s taken over the house.

Whiskey is sweet-natured, surprisingly quiet (for now!), and covered head to toe in the kind of soft golden fluff that makes hearts melt. From the moment she walked through our door, she brought with her a peaceful presence, mixed with chaos and mess. She’s suffering from cuteness overload.

🐶 Settling In, One Paw at a Time

Whiskey Willow is settling in beautifully. She’s curious, brave, and exploring every corner of the house like she owns it. We already live in Whiskey’s house.

Her gentle demeanor has been matched by brief bursts of playful energy—followed by short puppy naps in sunbeams and on laps.

She’s already started to show her golden retriever charm, with what we’re starting to suspect is a signature look: a perfectly-timed side eye that’s equal parts sass and sweetness. I’m beginning to believe it’s a true golden retriever trait—because just like our Abby, Whiskey has already mastered the art of the perfectly timed side-eye.

As we begin the challenging journey of potty training and while we navigate the teething phase, my online cam presence will be a bit limited this week. I’ll aim to pop in for short sessions during the day when possible, but you can definitely expect to see me in the evenings after dinner.
