Big Box Store Disappointment

Last night I stopped at Walgreens and was immediately annoyed by their holiday displays that was at the end of each aisle. If that is not bad enough, they had “gift packages” on the shelves and mixed in with random products. I just needed face wash and now I’m looking at box sets of cheap eye shadow, bad lipstick choices and cheesy makeup brushes. For just $1 you can give a pallet of purples to your favorite lady. Now, that is just 100 pennies and she will have 10 shades of purple that will flake off as she applies them with the cheesy makeup brushes that will leave bristles all over her face.

Now, granted some people start shopping early to make the holiday more check book friendly, but the gifts that you will find at Walgreen’s are for those who wait until the last minute for their gift giving.

This is why you all should shop locally or not at all. (lol) Most people will be very gracious and appreciative of the bad lipstick, after all, it is the thought and effort that count; with that said, shopping local gives you more unique gift options. Those are the gifts people will remember and enjoy. So, I will say it again, shop local and keep your money out of the hands of big box stores.
