    An Elephant Shows Empathy

Awhile back Hedo sent me an article regarding a research study on Elephants and their behavior during stressful times. The study didn’t place the animals in stressful situations, but waited for something to happen naturally, such as, a sudden sound. Other Elephants would either verbally calm the distressed friend, or rub its trunk on him, just to let him know he’s not alone. Isn’t that just precious? I want one. If you’re interested, here’s the full article below, or click this link: Elephants have long had a reputation for good memories. Now, according to a new study from Emory University and Think Elephants International, the giant animals are also pretty good when…

    A Much Quieter A/C Unit

We’ve always had plans to put in a better, much quieter A/C unit, but wasn’t able to last year. This year, however, it is top of the list on changes to the Studio. Thanks to MtnMan’s birthday gift card ($150) and a couple others, who asked to remain anonymous, I’m halfway to getting the new unit. I know I say this all the time, but you guys just amaze me! It’s never expected, nor is it required, and you all continue to shower me with support and thoughtful gifts, and such. It means a lot to me, I hope you know. Thank you, MtnMan, for giving me a good push…

“That Was Not Nice, Angel” …

This gave me a chuckle and I had to share. Do you recall the post regarding the gentleman who told me that he realizes he’s enjoyed me for years, but never given a penny? The one who insists he needs my REAL name in order to start supporting me? Yeah, that one. The last correspondence with him was this: Him: Well Angel, I tried to pop in twice, DAMN you looked delicious tonight, don“t know, why you have not replied, maybe you got offended?, hope not, maybe you think, that I am lying, but I am NOT, take care Lovely you and sleep tight, I wanna dram of you now,…

    A Little Red Dress

Nick has been absent of member shows, and quiet on Twitter, but he’s still so thoughtful and giving. He always remembers special days and makes the time to wish me the best. I hope you all know how much that means to me. I stopped by the PO Tuesday night and had bundles of packages! You guys just amaze me at how generous and thoughtful you continue to be. This time Nick sent a gorgeous red dress! One I’ve been wanting for awhile now, and can’t wait to wear it! In fact, I’m wearing it tonight when we go out to see a couple friends play at a local south…

    Chutney, What?

We had a three hour flight from NJ back into Texas. I sat in a middle seat with Devil in the aisle and our friend in the window. I had a horrible cold, so the pressure was incredibly painful and I couldn’t hear any conversation, unless they were yelling. Have you ever been on a flight where people are loud, and you can hear them 20 rows back? Yeah. That was us. LOL. Our friend was hungry so he ordered the cheese plate, but it had 2 pieces of cheese and a few crackers. He sent it back, looked at the menu and saw that there was a $9 ham…

    Hedo and his Shopping Spree

Last month while we were in New Jersey we had plans to go into NYC for a day. That was the one day that was cold with 100% chance of storms. I had been sick with a head cold so going to NYC wasn’t too appealing to me anyway, so it worked out when the group decided to spend the day on the couch. We were flying back home the next day… Hedo wanted to go to Victoria’s Secret, but we didn’t really have any time, until NYC was cancelled. So, I bundled up and we drove over to the VS Store. We walked in and immediately saw our lady…

A Lunch Treat and a Box of Surprises!

I’ve fallen so behind on everything, including my blog, but that doesn’t mean I won’t eventually post something that should have been mentioned weeks ago! Thankfully, this one is only two weeks late, not several. LOL. Jer told me he had a box of goodies coming my way and the very next day our mail lady knocked on the front door with a box. I took it and closed the door, thinking it was for Devil. I sat it on the counter, going back to loading the dishwasher. I know it’s shocking, but I’m still fun when the cam isn’t on! A few minutes later Devil walks in and I…

    Cinco de Mayo!

For those of you celebrating Cinco de Mayo, I wish you a very happy day. Drink. Enjoy. Celebrate! I hope you’re surrounded by friends and family. Be safe. Don’t drive drunk. Call a friend. Or, ask a stranger for a ride home. Just be safe. If you’re new to my blog, here’s a post from years past.

    Spur of the Moment Stop

We drove four hours NW of us, going right through Red’s area. We made pretty good time on the way up there, only stopping for gas and drinks. On the way home we stopped for dinner, shortly after driving off of the lot. Devil in front, with me trying to keep up with him miles behind.. Luckily I’m pretty good with direction and knew which way to turn at each cross road. We stopped about 30 minutes north of Red, for gas, and I happened to check Twitter. Red asked how we were doing on time, so I told him where we were and then back on the road. A…

    Ford Owner, No Longer

I’ve always owned Ford’s. Mostly because Dad was a Ford man, and he had a long time friend who was a service manager at a local Ford Dealership. He always took care of me, even after I married and moved away. As long as I called him, he’d let me drop it off at his house, he’d drive it in, and do a complete workup on it. Last year he retired, which I was happy for because he has worked his entire life and deserves to be fishing somewhere, not working for the man. Anyway, we bought a Chevy Equinox yesterday and I’m thrilled with it. We bought it from…
