October is a Fun Month
The weather starts changing, the season moves from summer into fall and people start drinking their pumpkin spiced whatever and many are getting excited for Halloween. October is such a feel good month. For us, we’ve got a busy one, but really that’s nothing unusual these days. I’m out of town starting Friday evening, for 5 days, getting back just in time to pack for a 10 day journey, leaving Abby at her cousins house. It is Officially Windsor Day
Well here we are again, another trip around the sun and another “Windsor Day” to experience and appreciate. Last year it was decided during VNALive that the anniversary of Dwwindsor’s birthday become known as Windsor Day. Today is Worthy of Celebrations!

Shopping and Planting
I am taking the weekend off from site work and cam, and plan to go shopping tomorrow for stuff and then Sunday I want to go to a nursery to get a few bushes. It’s something I had hoped to do in the spring but we were busy and not home much, so I didn’t want to plant and have it die before the heat set in. To Instant Pot or Not
MtnMan had an instant pot before I moved in, and I’ve said for 5 years now that I need to try that damn thing, but when I look at it, it’s way too complex for me so I use the crockpot instead. Three weeks ago I decided enough of that malarky. I’m using it! I chose ribs for my first trial. I say trial because I’m not sold on it. Abby and the Team of Horses
I must share a story with you because it’s full of too much cuteness not to. We were on a ranch, in a field with nothing but a river running through it and a team of horses grazing. It was a beautiful day, with blue skies and a nice mountain breeze blowing through the valley. Abby had to stay in the truck for a short while so we left the windows down for her while we crossed the river on foot.
